Location
The small village of Es Llombards, with only about 550 inhabitants, is located between Santanyí and Ses Salines and just over four kilometers from Cala Llombards, a small, very cozy residential area that has grown over the years and extends around a beautiful larger bay that ends in the northeast with the famous Es Pontàs, a rocky gate at the foot of the sea.
Other beaches such as Caló d'es Moro or the dreamy coves of Cala Mondragó and S'Amarador in the Mondragó Natural Park as well as the famous, kilometer-long beach of Es Trenc are also within easy reach. Excursions to the fishing village of Cala Figuera and the beautiful center of Santanyí with its famous weekly market are also worthwhile.
The rural surroundings of Es Llombards are also attractive for cyclists and hikers. Agriculture plays a major role in this region, and pastures and farmland characterize the landscape. Es Llombards is also home to Quesos Grimalt, one of the few cheese dairies in Mallorca.
